Shorething is a fun and engaging website covering a range of subjects for key stages 1, 2 and 3Shorething from the RNLI covers a wide ranging, educational programme, targeted at teacher's curriculum needs. There are numerous teacher resources to support the teaching of a range of subject areas in Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3. Currently these resources include lesson plans for English, Science, Maths, D & T, Citizenship & PSHE, Art, History, ICT and P.E as well as a selection of interactive whiteboard activities and lesson plans.
Topics based around the RNLI and it's history include: water safety, making a lifeboat, the media, transport, plus volunteering and fundraising. There is also a Literacy section and a lesson about Grace Darling which will help to engage the younger students during history lessons.
