RubiStar is an American website that promises to help teachers create quality rubrics for any project based learning activity.  The theory behind the site though could easily be applied to UK lesson planning and project assessment.

Rubrics specify the level of performance expected for several levels of quality and can be a good method to help the student figure out how their project will be evaluated.

Registered users can save and edit rubrics online and saved Rubrics can be accessed from home, school, or on the road. Registration and use of the website and tool is free and the website itself is easy to understand with a very good tutorial section to help you create your rubric.

If you are looking for project inspiration there is also an aptly named "Inspiration Page" on which you will find some innovative ways to get your class involved in learning - sorted by subject. With this being a US website it may take some sorting through the topics, but there are certainly some useful ideas here.
