Free Heart Healthy Lifestyle Teaching Resources >

The British Heart Foundation website has free lesson plans and information on a healthy lifestyle

The British Heart Foundation produce a wide range of free resources for use in schools by teachers and children or by parents and carers.  Most of the resources and lesson plans can be downloaded free from their website.

Keeping children healthy and active is one of the most fundamental factors in preventing heart disease in future generations of adults. Education is at the root of combating heart disease. Encouraging young people to live a heart healthy lifestyle, minimises their risk of developing heart disease in the future. The teaching resources have been developed to help teachers teach students more about the science behind the heart and how to avoid heart problems.

The website has a full list of all the British Heart Foundation publications for teachers - ordered by subject and age - with links to order copies or download straight away.  There are also details on upcoming events that schools and pupils can get involved in to help raise money for the charity - and get active at the same time!
