Enter the Young Pavement Artists Competition
Thursday 17th June 2010
There are only ten days left until the closing date of this year’s Young Pavement Artists Competition, which means the budding young artists in your school still have time to get creative.
Children from Wyke Regis Junior School enjoyed a great day creating a fantastic masterpiece (right) that will be entered into the group banner category of the competition.
There is still time to enter your school into the National Competition, simply hold your local event and send donations and winning images to us before the competition closes on 25th June.
Entries to the competition, which raises awareness and funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign, have been flooding in as the deadline draws close.
Drawings will be judged at the charity head quarters in London on 1st July. It will be hard work for the judging panel who are excited and looking forward to seeing this year’s entries.
"I’m really excited to see how the kids have interpreted the theme ’Strength in Nature’ and used it to create exciting pavement art. There’s only 10 days left for schools to enter, so make sure your kids could be in with a chance of winning some great prizes!"
Lauren Jarvis, Editor of National Geographic Kids Magazine.
The winners chosen by the panel of judges will attend a fabulous awards ceremony at the Royal Society in London on 15th July where a host of exciting prizes will be presented.
