Get Ready for Science Week on the 11-18 March with Science Boffins

Science Week is next week, 11-18 March and is the UK’s widest celebration kicks off with the theme of ’communication’. Thousands of events and activities in all types of venues will show how science and engineering relate to your everyday life, from intimate café discussions and shopping centre science busking to city-wide science festivals.

Science Boffins, the science party specialists, are gearing up for some fun activities during Science Week next week too. They are offering science assemblies and workshops for Science Week and their science evenings are in high demand and very popular with students and schools. Some of the topics their evening workshops will cover during science week will be:

•    Crazy Reactions - Understanding chemical reactions, and the factors that affect its rate, in fun and interesting ways. including amazing, lights, colour changes and gas formation.

•    Slime & Polymers – Learn about polymers both natural and man-mad, as well investigating different polymers. (Everyone  gets to make a take-home tub of noxious glowing slime in snotty green or putrid pink)

•    Electricity & Static Electricity - The children get to learn about the difference between electricity and static electricity. Pass electricity through their bodies and even get a small electric shock if they’re good!

And many more to choose from too! The evenings are a mixture of School Assembly and School Workshops tailored for the individual needs of the school.

Science Boffins provide special a Primary School Assembly and Primary School Workshops plus Stalls for Science Week or Special Days. The workshops aim to always get the pupils involved with hands-on fun and assemblies are designed to inspire, educate and encourage pupils to love science.
