Integrate Technology Across the Curriculum
Thursday 7th January 2010
We all know Adobe Reader, and some will know other Adobe products, but their website also has a very useful schools section containing free teaching resources that will help teachers integrate technology across the curriculum, not just ICT.
Technology integration is a key mechanism for augmenting classroom instruction while teaching students essential digital communication skills that will help them become lifelong learners in the digital age. These free lesson plans and other resources have been designed by experts to help teachers address technolgy in the modern age and introduce it into lessons across the school curriculum.
The website is American and based on their curriculum, but many of the free lesson plans can be used to structure projects for UK subjects such as ICT, Maths, Science, English, Languages, History, Citizenship and PSHE. Examples of which include: How to Create Podcasts; Geometric Concepts; Graph Plotting; Plant Growth; Creating Suspense; Storyboards; Advertising Poster for a Political Candidate; and more.
Certainly worth checking out at the start of 2010.
