Primary and Secondary Free Teaching Resources
Thursday 4th March 2010
The BP Educational Service (BPES) produce and distribute educational resources about BP and the oil and petroleum industry for 5 to 19 year olds and respond to educational enquiries about BP. Their educational resources reflect the focus on energy, environment, leadership and business skills as a core part of BP strategy. Working with practising teachers and other educational experts, they produce a range of educational materials about BP and the energy business, and make them available to all schools in the UK and the rest of the world.
The Secondary teaching resources, lesson plans and activities are free to order or download on the BPES website. They span all key stages, are fully curriculum linked and mainly focus on the key curriculum areas of: Science; Geography and Environment; Citizenship and PSHE; Literacy; Business Studies; Design and Technology; Engineering. Primary teaching resources and lesson plans are also free to order or download and focus on
Science, Geography and Literacy across key stages 1 and 2.
Teachers can also register on the site for free and gain the ability to store information for future download or orders. BPES also provides a dedicated, fast and friendly response service for teachers, students, parents, BP employees and, in fact, anyone, anywhere with an enquiry about BP. They constantly monitor and assess both their service and resources and would appreciate any feedback on how BPES could be more effective in helping you.
