Red Nose Day Free Teaching Resources Online

Friday 18th March 2011

All around the UK today people are dressing up, or just wearing red and doing something funny for money, in support of Red Nose Day. Fundraising events all over the country are taking place to help charities raise funds for good causes in the UK and Africa. The cash that’s raised helps people with difficult lives and can transform them, or make a massive difference. For example 45 million people in the world are blind and up to 85% of cases are both preventable and treatable. Education projects across the globe are funded by the money raised on Red Nose Day too, also helping to transform children’s lives and improve their chances for their future.

To help teachers in schools prepare for Red Nose Day, the official website has some free teaching resources to assist. Use their simple and engaging assembly resources to inspire the whole school to support Red Nose Day. Whether you use them in the run-up or on the big day itself, they’re ideal for captivating and motivating pupils and teachers alike.

For details about the free teaching resources available, visit the Red Nose Day website.
