Step into the NHS schools’ competition 2010 – 2011

Aimed at years 8 and 9, the NHS schools competition encourages students to think about career opportunities, develop job-seeking skills and make informed decisions about important GCSE or diploma choices.

Students are challenged to select one of the careers available in the NHS and, working individually or in groups of up to four, to create a job description, a job advertisement and a CV of the perfect candidate.

The competition closes on 28 January 2011 and there are some fantastic prizes on offer.

National winner/s €“ netbook computer/s and certificates
Regional winners - £50 Amazon vouchers and certificates

Everything you need to introduce the competition to your students can be found on the NHS Careers website, including a downloadable teacher guidance booklet, student briefing sheet, example CVs and entry forms. You can also download a PowerPoint introduction to the completition.
