The BETT Education Show Attracts Thousands of Visitors

Thousands more visitors have come along to Olympia on the second day of the BETT Show at Olympia in London this week. The visitors are there to see the vast array of products and services being showcased by the hundreds of education-related exhibitors.
Earlier on day 2, Tim Loughton, Parliamentary Under Secretary for Children and Families, MP, spoke at UK Education Leaders @ BETT conference. He not only highlighted the importance of BETT and the good work it does, but also spoke about the need for parents to hold the power for online safety. Professor Stephen Heppell was the first to take centre stage in the BETT press room to talk about the ‘Classroom of the Future’, whereby pupils design learning spaces to help encourage a positive learning environment. A group of students spent two years designing a learning space, managing budgets, speaking to architects and even deciding which solution the cleaners would use on the floors – later winning £30,000 to build the classroom of their dreams.
