Guidance on Improving School Response to Bullying

This website offers access to a child friendly anti-bullying policy. It demonstrates how a simple, easy to read and accessible policy can be produced so children can access it. It may offer inspiration for teachers who are promoting anti-bullying at whole-school level. However, it may also be a useful leaflet to look at when discussing this topic with a class and encouraging them to design and produced their own guide for peers.

Teachers will also find that the website contains a range of documents related to anti-bullying, which they may wish to consult. There is also a bank of documents that are designed for parents and carers. Teachers may find this useful in developing their own materials to encourage home-school links. This includes advice on bullying, tips for promoting children’s well-being and raising awareness of cyber-bullying.
