Walk4Life is an interactive website which encourages students to:

  • Search for walks or map their own local walks,
  • Understand their area and online mapping,
  • Test their fitness on a local 1-mile walk,
  • Enter their completed miles and see their totals mounting up,
  • Build team spirit by joining a group and taking a challenge,
  • Think about their journey to school and walking more often

170x130_fitbox-walk_england_boy_with_speach_bubble.jpegIt is a brilliant way to encourage students to increase their levels of physical activity as well as teaching them to read maps with confidence and helping them to become proficient online map makers.  The verdict from teachers who have already used the website is very positive.

The teacher pack is bright and colourful, full of fun activity ideas and tips to inspire students to have a go and get walking!

Walk4Life is part of the Change4Life movement that has been set up to encourage families and adults to make small lifestyle changes that add up to big health benefits.
