BSI British Standards
This is a Design & Technology site that can be used with KS1, 2 & 3 students in helping them understand British Standards.
Learning and Teaching Resources
The BSI website is a one-stop information and teaching portal for Standards. Launched by BSI British Standards and supported by the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS), the site enables students aged 7-19 and their teachers to learn more about standardization.
The website offers teacher-tailored content; all supporting National Curriculum subjects. Each section is carefully planned out with starter activities and also tests and games which teach and develop knowlege with Primary and Secondary School Design & Technology and Science pupils. Some activities can be viewed online and some can be downloaded & printed. Learning objectives are stated so that both teachers and pupils will know what they should have learned by the end of the lesson.
