EcoKids offer a great service for school fundraising, completely free of charge. All you have to do is organise an event, one that requires minimum organisation! Simply register with the website and you are on your way. All you have to do is have each child go home and get their families to rid their wardrobes and cupboards of all the unwanted clothes, bed sheets, curtains and shoes, and stick them in an EcoKids bag!

The website is a very useful resource for schools wanting to fundraise, as you just have to organise a collection day for when the bags get picked up from your school. The EcoKids collection could just be one part of a whole day event dedicated to raising awareness of recycling and other environmental issues; something which EcoKids also provides.

Materials for Promotion

The website also provides the materials needed to promote the collection, such as posters, flyers, collection bags and newsletters for schools and youth organisations. This fundraising resource is a fantastic opportunity to link a school event with topics that students will come across in the classroom, in regard to recycling and its presence in PSHE lessons.
