Activities
There are activities, such as online quizzes, that children can access and test their knowledge about an aspect of the Second World War. A series of images, that serve as historical sources, are provided. These can be useful in whole-class teaching and act as a discussion point. Worksheets are available. They suggest activities that can be undertaken by children. However, these could be useful starting points for devising your own lessons.
Timeline
A timeline can be accessed so that children can develop an understanding of how events developed across 1939 to 1945.
Video Clips
Video clips related to aspects of World War Two can be accessed. These provide an excellent way of children understanding what happened during this time. They can support teaching points and developing discussion about the experiences of people in Britain since 1930.
