Teaching about the Holocaust effectively isn’t easy. As a subject it needs time, expertise, support and the right materials to make it engaging and meaningful to students. It can then become an immensely powerful learning experience.

The Institute of Education (IOE) has created an effective, engaging and practical range of teaching and learning resources in Holocaust education, available free of charge to teachers on its national CPD programme. The IOE is nationally and internationally recognised as a leader in Holocaust education, guest editing a special edition of the journal Teaching History, creating new educational materials for the United Nations, and working on BAFTA-nominated classroom resources.
