Kent ICT Website
The Kent ICT website aims to provide support for teachers and pupils in the use of ICT across the curriculum.
Teachers will find detailed information and tutorials for using interactive whiteboards. These are good for teachers who wish to develop their confidence in this area. Word documents and flip charts can be downloaded to support this. The website covers different makes of interactive whiteboards.
The website has a large collection of suggestions and materials that indicate how to embed the use of ICT in other curriculum areas. This covers ideas for projects, appropriate websites and examples of lesson plans.
The Kent ICT website provides lesson plans with resources that can be used by teachers to teach about communication, research, modelling and handling data in discrete lessons. This supports the National Curriculum programme of study for ICT. Teachers will also find materials that support assessment. For example, child-friendly ‘I can’ statements related to different aspects of the curriculum.
