National Trust
Art and heritage resources
The Nation Trust is offering teaching resources for Art & Design KS3 pupils.
There are many resources to download and use when you visit their different properties. They have many places to visit up and down the UK, each with its own fun and interesting examples of Art & design.
KS3 pupils can learn about how cloth was made in ancient Greece, including spinning, weaving and felting. This all takes place as the Quarry Bank Mill, which is a fully complete working example of mills in the 18th century.
You also don’t have to be with a school party to go, they also offer many different fun days for parents and carers alike including workshop days and family art days!
The National Trust is a great way to get children out of the classroom and getting them involved.
They do cover many other subjects too, so why not combine your art class with a history lesson too!
